Colleen Daniel is an artist based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Growing up in the Midwest, as a child she developed a passion for painting and drawing as well as the performing arts. She went on to study theatrical design and scenic painting at the University of Illinois, graduating in 2009. To this day much of her painting style and technique is rooted in her theatrical beginnings painting backdrops and set pieces.

Following her time at university she worked on theatre productions in Chicago and as a freelance set painter while also working as a theatre and art educator. In 2012 she worked on her first feature film, Captain America Winter Soldier. After which she spent 8 years traveling around the country working in the film industry, dragging her trusty box of art supplies with her to every location.

In 2020 she made the decision to pursue her passion for painting as more than just a hobby and leased her first artist studio space in Atlanta, where her work has been regularly shown in The Ocho Gallery at Mutiny Artwrx. Since then, she has been dedicated to developing her voice and style as an artist as well as growing her artistic community with like-minded collaborators.

She currently works out of her home in the Inman Park neighborhood of Atlanta with her dog Ellie.

Colleen also takes on commissioned work, please reach out if you are interested in commissioning a one of a kind piece.
