Nymph
Nymph is the fourth installment of my collage series. The Nymph figure a top a floral pedestal is a metaphor for the role in which women were portrayed in 1930’s print media. Acrylic collage on studio wrapped linen. The high gloss varnish both acts as protectant and helps bring out the vibrant undertones of the color pallet. When displayed with studio lighting the texture of the linen and the high gloss varnish give of a slight shimmer which moves with the viewer.
